Skill Building Group for Therapists
This group is for therapists that are learning emotionally focused couple therapy. It helps therapists hone skills, techniques, attachment theory, and emotionally focused therapy principles, to deepen their knowledge, confidence, and expertise using this model.
We will meet for two hours as a group and show segments of videos of our own sessions with couples. We will use supportive feedback on those sessions to help deepen the skill base for each therapist. I realize, that as a therapist certified in emotionally focused couple therapy, that you need to continue to challenge yourself, be engaged with learning the model, and be focused with analyzing how we are reacting within this model. Emotionally Focused couple Therapy is a very active and hands-on approach. To improve our competency using this model, we need to continually observe ourselves, and be aware of how we are connecting and responding to our couples.
We will meet the first or third Fridays of the month starting in September 2010. The final date will be posted shortly. For further information please call or email:
